1. World Bank Group Project of Financial Diary (Completed)
In May 2019, CAFI entered into a project partnership agreement with the World Bank Group on Financial Diary. As project executor, CAFI conducted, in conjunction with local authorities, research programs concerning financial diary in the Yijun County, Shaanxi Province, and Pingjiang County, Hunan Province. CAFI collected one-year continuous financial data from 200 sampled farming households in the two counties, analyzed the samples' financial behavioral traits, and inspect how more effective financial products and services can be provided to the sampled group in order to improve their financial health.
2. Financial Demand Survey of Low-Income Groups (Proceeding)
CAFI team continued to collect the financial data of the sample rural residents in Pingjiang County (Hunan Province) and Yijun County (Shaanxi Province). At the same time, the data collection work was officially launched in Shanghai in May 2021. Shanghai is thus chosen to study the financial characteristics and needs of low and medium income urban residents. Furthermore, they discussed providing more effective financial products and services to these groups to improve their financial health.
3. Report on Financing Demand of Small and Micro Households in China(Completed)
During the outbreak of the COVID-19 in 2020, many small and micro households explored online operations, increasing the awareness of online financing methods. Based on these new changes, CAFI analyzed that their financing needs and the ecology of financial suppliers to discover their financial characteristics and the inadequacy of financial suppliers' services through interviews, questionnaires, and other methods. Some suggestions for improving their credit availability are based on the analysis results.
